About JOe

Across leadership roles in sustainable agriculture, Joe designs and scales practical systems. At SAI Platform, he led the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) from concept to global scale, leaving with a usership of 380,000 farms in 60+ countries and 180+ crops. This not only reduced the duplication in regenerative and sustainable agriculture codes and procurement standards that had become widespread in the industry, but also created a common language that helped farms demonstrate their sustainability credentials to the whole food sector, and highlighted opportunities to improve.

Earlier at Unilever, Joe integrated sustainability into sourcing, built monitoring and improvement systems, and analysed indicators from over 3,000 farms using the Cool Farm Tool. Helping to meet Unilever’s ambitious 100% Sustainably Sourced by 2020 commitment.

Today, as Director, CAP EMEA at Concord Agriculture Partners, he is establishing the firm’s European practice and leading a multi‑country enteric‑methane project (Verra VM0041) across Spain, the UK, Ireland and Germany to deliver high‑integrity credits with fair value returned to farmers.

Based in London, he enjoys tennis, chess, running and freediving.
