About Alex

Alex has had a lengthy career in sustainability with multiple leadership positions.  In his fifteen years with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), he worked with many leading companies to set ambitious sustainability goals for sourcing, climate, and forests.  He has strong experience in partnership management, agriculture supply chains, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability standards.  

At WWF he helped establish the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, created the Global Map of Supply Chain Risk in Agro-Commodity Production with the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation, and represented WWF on the Board of Bonsucro and Chair of the Member’s Council.  Over the years he has been involved in numerous projects that connect companies with producers and help advance more sustainable food production.

Alex also currently serves as the Board Chair of the La Isla Network, a NGO working worldwide to address heat stress and other environmental risks to worker’s health and safety.

Alex grew up in North Dakota and now lives with his two children in Colorado Springs where he enjoys the outdoors, skiing, and coaching his kids’ youth sports teams.
